An elegant tall Venetian floor-standing lamp on a steel wire frame and amber metal base.
The diffuser is hand-crafted from amber Murano ‘scavo’ glass.
A special chemical is used to erode parts of the surface of the glass, to give it the appearance of having been having been buried for a long time, and then dug up. The Italian word for ‘dug up’ or ‘excavated’ is ‘scavo’ – hence the name of this popular finish.
This lovely floor light is part of a small family of Italian lighting which also includes a co-ordinating wall lantern, a charming table lamp, and a gorgeous ceiling lantern.
Furthermore, we can supply this lamp in alabaster with a pale tobacco-coloured marbled appearance. Alabaster is a material perfectly suited to soft mood and ambient home lighting, due to its semi-translucent nature and fine texture.
